Irish Film: Lenny Abrahamson's brilliant Frank to hit DVD on September 12th

Fresh from its opening weekend in the United States, Element Pictures Distribution has announced that Lenny Abrahamson’s Frank will be available to rent and buy in Ireland on DVD, Blu-ray and On-Demand from September 12th.

One of our favourite films of 2014 Frank is a hilarious, offbeat comedy about a wannabe musician, Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), who escapes his boring normal life and joins an avant-garde pop band led by Frank (Michael Fassbender), a mysterious musical genius who hides himself inside a large fake head, and his terrifying bandmate Clara (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

Written by Jon Ronson (The Men Who Stare At Goats) and Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Men Who Stare At Goats), Frank is directed by Ireland’s highly acclaimed Lenny Abrahamson (What Richard Did, Garage, Adam & Paul).

Special Features on the DVD and Blu-ray include: Director’s commentary with Domhnall Gleeson and Stephen Rennicks (Composer), Writers’ commentary with Jon Ronson and Peter Straughan, a Behind The Scenes featurette, a Behind The Sounds featurette, and a number of Deleted Scenes.

Frank will be available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray nationwide and On-Demand from iTunes and Volta.ie from September 12th . DVD & Blu-ray stockists include: Tesco, HMV, Xtra-vision, Golden Discs, Tower Records, the IFI and Light House cinema.

Feel free to check out our 4 star review while you wait for the release!
