The Japanese Film Festival will present exclusive fan preview screenings of the highly anticipated anime Mary and the Witch’s Flower nationally on April 10th as part of its 10th edition.
Ireland’s only truly national film festival has announced that special screenings of this new feature from Oscar-nominated director Hiromasa Yonebayashi (When Marnie Was There, Arriety) will take place at the following 5 locations on April 10th:
Light House Cinema, Dublin
Movies@Dundrum, Dublin
Triskel, Cork
EYE Cinema, Galway
ODEON Limerick
Set in the magical world of a school for witches, Mary and the Witch’s Floweris a sublime blend of magic and fantasy that will sweep audiences along with its charming, heartfelt adventure.
The screenings on April 10 will be shown in the film’s original Japanese language with English subtitles. A special introduction by director Hiromasa Yonebayashi will be screened beforehand.
Additionally, each audience member will be gifted with a limited edition print.
Advance tickets for these screenings go on sale at 12 noon today, March 6th on each cinema’s website.
