Dublin Doc Fest is now accepting short documentary film submissions for it’s 6th festival event in the categories: Short Documentary, Student Short Documentary and Female Filmmaker Short Documentary. Submissions will be accepted via our online submission platforms FilmFreeway, Film Festival Life or Festhome only with early, regular and late deadlines running until Aug 31st 2018.
Dublin Doc Fest is Ireland’s only short documentary film festival dedicated to the exhibition and celebration of the short documentary form. For the past 5 years, DDF has showcased extraordinary short documentary films from both Ireland and abroad. The festival is renowned for celebrating the work of both emerging and established filmmaking talent exhibiting work from Irish documentary filmmakers such as Pat Collins & Sharon Whooley, Tadhg O’Sullivan, Mia Mullarkey, Anna Rodgers, Aoife Kelleher, and Colm Quinn.
Dublin Doc Fest has always championed the work of female filmmakers mindful of maintaining an equal gender balance in their programmes. For the 2018 festival they will introduce a unique programme of films by female directors to further highlight and celebrate the work of female filmmakers.
