Element Pictures Distribution has reached a deal with Apple to release a number of high-profile Irish films on iTunes in the UK and Ireland. From today (September 12th), Lenny Abrahamson’s critically acclaimed new release Frank starring Michael Fassbender, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson is available to rent or purchase on iTunes. Other films from Abrahamson also now available to iTunes customers include the award winning What Richard Did, Garage and cult classic Adam & Paul.
In high definition for the first time, iTunes customers can now enjoy Joel Conroy’s award winning surf documentary Waveriders, the much loved Sundance winner His & Hers, Lance Daly’s Kisses and Ian Fitzgibbon’s hilarious black comedy A Film With Me In It starring Dylan Moran. Other Irish films also available through the deal include Jump, Parked and feature documentary The Irish Pub. Over the coming weeks Gerard Barrett’s masterful debut Pilgrim Hill, Pat Collins’ stunningly beautiful Silence and Sé Merry Doyle’s John Ford: Dreaming The Quiet Man will also be available with new release and further library titles being added on a regular basis. All these films will be available to rent or purchase on iTunes.
