#Training: Screen Training Ireland announces Red Rock Training Scheme 2017

Are you interested in a career in the film & TV industry? Would you like to gain on the job experience on the set of a real life TV drama? This could be the opportunity for you!

Screen Training Ireland/The Irish Film Board, The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and TV3’s Red Rock drama series have joined forces to offer a select number of people the opportunity to secure a work placement on the drama, currently in production on its third season. These placements, each six weeks in duration, will take place throughout the shoot of RED ROCK Series 3.

The Red Rock Training Scheme will offer you the opportunity to join the Red Rock team and gain skills and experience in many of the key production departments, enabling you to take further steps in the film and television industry.

Placements will be available in various departments, with particular focus on:

  • Assistant Directing
  • Props
  • Art Department
  • Post Production

Selected candidates will receive initial training in working on set, including set etiquette, health & safety, roles and responsibilities, team working, and department-specific requirements.

The RED ROCK TRAINING SCHEME is a partnership between Screen Training Ireland/Irish Film Board, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, and TV3’s Red RockThe scheme aims to provide on-the-job training for new entrants to the film and TV industry, recent graduates or professionals from other sectors whose experience could prove relevant to specific areas of TV production. In parallel to this new entrant training, the scheme also offers continuing professional development for experienced production personnel by providing practical work-based learning and mentoring.
