Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting has announced 4 new workshops and a part time Improv course for the spring season. Gerry Grennell returns for a Screen Acting Masterclass having recently worked with Oscar Isaac on Terry George’s The Promise, Chris Hemsworth on The Huntsman and Sienna Miller on the recently released Live By Night. Maureen Hughes, who cast Striking Out which is currently playing on RTE, also returns with her extremely popular Self Taping Workshop.
Two new workshops include Script Analysis for Actors with the highly experienced and insightful Mary Kate O’Flanagan, and Branding and Self-Promotion for Actors featuring Spotlight’s Alison Crosby, Agent Barry Coyle from Bow Street Talent Agency, and filmmaker Shimmy Marcus. To launch the new workshops Bow Street are offering a Professional Studio Audition with free upload and link to actors for a special rate of just €20 at their state of the art Casting Studio.
Situated in Smithfield, the Screen Acting School continues to grow from strength to strength and currently boasts 50 full-time students and 60 part-time students as well as the Young Filmmaker Workshops at weekends. Their alumni continue to appear on our big and small screens, most recently in A Date For Mad Mary, Cant Cope, Won’t Cope, Smalltown, Striking Out, Jack Taylor, Fair City, and Red Rock. Next month they announce details for the upcoming Six Month Part Time Screen Acting Course and a new revised Full-Time Course.
