Principal photography has completed in Tralee on Kerry writer/director Bertie Brosnan’s feature debut CON.
The film is a mock-documentary that follows successful filmmaker and actor Con Keogh as he prepares to meet his estranged father, after 25 years. But with emotions running high the documentary takes a few unexpected twists and turns.
CON sees Sineater director Brosnan play Keogh, with support from Owen Barton (Prey), Cristina Ryan (The Devil’s Ball), Jean Lawe (Sonnet 30), Tadhg Hickey (Uisce Beatha), Michael J. O’Sullivan (Jacob Wrestling with the Angel), Tim Landers (Run & Jump), and Una Nolan.
Brosnan also produces through Escape Thru Film, with John Reidy executive producer. Brian O’Connor is responsible for editing and cinematography on the film, with Gregory Burrowes on sound.
