#CastingCall: Extras needed for new Irish feature Black 47

Fastnet Films are looking for actors to play famine victims for Lance Daly’s new Irish feature film Black 47. Casting will take place in Filmbase, Temple Bar on Wednesday November 23rd from 9.30am to 5pm.

The film is set in 1847 at the height of the Great Famine in Ireland and Fastnet Films are searching for Irish men and women with gaunt faces and thin bodies to play specific and background roles in the film. Shooting will take place in Wicklow and Connemara from 28th November to 22nd December and 6th to 28th January.

The film is the feature adaptation of PJ Dillon and Pierce Ryan’s award-winning short An Ranger. Fastnet Films are joined by Luxembourg-based Samsa Films as co-producers, with funding from Eurimages and the Irish Film Board.
