Watch: First trailer for TIFF bound Irish documentary Being AP

Earlier this week it was announced that Being AP, the new Irish horse-racing documentary about champion jump jockey AP McCoy,  would have its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. Now that festival has revealed the first trailer for the film.

The film is an intimate documentary portrait of legendary horse-racing jockey A.P. McCoy, who risks life and limb in his determination to place his winning record out of reach of future challengers before he retires.

The Moneyglass, County Antrim born McCoy is one of Ireland’s most successful professional sportspersons with more than 4,300 wins.  The documentary, which was filmed at race-courses and locations in both Ireland and the UK earlier this year, will include exclusive footage of the jockey, trainers and family from the 2014-15 season.

Being AP is directed by Anthony Wonke, and produced by Moneyglass Films, in partnership with Partizan Films and Roads Entertainment, and in association with BBC Films with support from The Irish Film Board, Northern Ireland Screen and the British Horse Racing Authority/Great British Racing.
