Irish Film: BBC Films and IFB announce documentary Being AP

BBC Films and the Irish Film Board, via Screen Daily, have announced details of a new documentary centred on the career of nineteen-time champion jump jockey AP (Tony) McCoy, titled Being AP.

The documentary, which is currently being filmed at race-courses and locations in both Ireland and the UK, will include exclusive footage of the jockey, trainers and family from the 2014-15 season.

The Moneyglass, County Antrim born McCoy is one of Ireland’s most successful professional sportspersons with more than 4,300 wins.

Being AP is directed by Anthony Wonke, and produced by Moneyglass Films, in partnership with Partizan Films and Roads Entertainment, and in association with BBC Films with support from The Irish Film Board, Northern Ireland Screen and the British Horse Racing Authority/Great British Racing.
