#IrishAbroad: Niall McCann’s Lost in France to feature at Glasgow Film Festival

Niall McCann’s Irish/Scottish co-production Lost in France is set to feature at the Glasgow Film Festival on 21 February, 2017 in Glasgow’s ABC.

Lost in France is a documentary that explores the rise of Glasgow’s independent music scene from the 1990’s to present day. Focusing on record label Chemikal Underground and bands such as Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand and The Delgados; the film will revisit a defining, chaotic tour early in their careers. A journey from the present to the past. And back again.

An Irish-UK co-production, the documentary features an atmospheric re-staging of a legendary festival (in Mauron, Brittany) and the screening will be followed by a performance from Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand), Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai), RM Hubbert and Emma Pollock & Paul Savage (The Delgados) as they reunite for one night only.

Tickets for the unique screening and performance will go on sale at 10am Wednesday 30 November, priced £16 and £14 (concessions) via: glasgowfilm.org/festival.

Lost in France is directed by Irish director Niall McCann and produced by Nicky Gogan at Still Films and Paul Welsh at Edge City Films and funded by the Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hEireann and Creative Scotland.
