Lift

#IrishAbroad: Independent feature Lift to UK premiere at Hastings Film Fringe

Lift, the debut feature film from writer / star Kealan Ryan and director Conor Armstrong Sanfey, will have its UK premiere on Friday as part of the Hastings Film Fringe Festival.

Sean’s vicious attack leaves a man unconscious and him stranded in an elevator with five others. In the confines of the lift, love has a chance of blossoming – violence has a chance of erupting – Sean has little chance of escape. With his freedom hanging in the balance can the people who fear him offer him one last chance of redemption?

The film stars Fiach Kunz, Kealan Ryan, Hannah Crowley, Stephen Gorman, Colin Walsh, and Gerard McSorley. It was produced by Armstrong Sanfey and Ryan, with Armstrong Sanfey as editor and Aidan Gault as DoP.

Lift will be joined at the festival by compatriots Patrick’s Day, the acclaimed feature from director Terry McMahon, and shorts The Box and The Closet.

The 3rd annual Hastings Film Fringe event will take place between September 15th-17th 2017 at The Palace; an independent, bijou cinema located in the heart of Hastings seafront.

Now in its third year of running, The Hastings Film Fringe has linked with The Hastings Fringe to create a platform for filmmakers and performers alike, to showcase their work; features and shorts respectively.
