Here’s a great looking trailer for a new Irish film, the Garret Daly and Martina McGlynn directed A Nightingale Falling.
Based on the novel of the same name by PJ Curtis and set in Ireland during the War of Independence, the film is the tragic love story of a household and its inhabitants, caught in the crucible of dark deep secrets.
Befitting one of the most interesting times in Irish history the film has managed to bag a great local cast, with Tara Breathnach, Muireann Bird, and Gerard McCarthy headlining. The film also stars Elliot Moriarty, Brian Fortune, Andy Kellegher, Rosemary Henderson, Michael James Ford, Mark Tankersley, Blathniad Purcell, and Maura Clancy.
A Nightingale Falling will be released in Ireland later in 2014. For now you can follow the film on Facebook & Twitter.
