#IrishFilm: Indie drama A Day Like Today is now available on VOD, with proceeds going to charity

Now available to rent or buy on Vimeo is Gerard Walsh’s excellent feature film debut A Day Like Today.

The film, which was made on a budget of just €450, tells the story of a chance meeting between a homeless man and a woman in an unhappy marriage, following the pair as we delve deeper and deeper into their pasts.

The cast includes Paul Butler Lennox, Andie McCaffrey Byrne, Brian Fortune, Darragh O’Toole, Richard Mason, Tristan Heanue, and Tiny James.

Director Walsh, who is also cinematographer on the film, previously brought us some excellent short films, including Bound and Is This It? (Winner of Best Short at 2013 Fingal Film Festival 2013). He is joined behind the camera by operators James Fitzgerald and Ismael Diarra, as well as Leon Henry on Sound Design.

Director Gerard Walsh will donate his revenue from the first month to the Charity Irish Autism Action, a charity very close to his heart. The film will be also screened this Friday in Filmbase in Temple Bar, with all proceeds again donated to the charity.
