Irish Film: Trailer for Gerard Walsh's debut feature A Day Like Today

Check out this new trailer for Irish director Gerard Walsh’s debut feature film A Day Like Today.

The film, which was made on a budget of just €450, tells the story of a chance meeting between a homeless man and a woman in an unhappy marriage, following the pair as we delve deeper and deeper into their pasts.

The cast includes Paul Butler Lennox, Andie McCaffrey Byrne, Brian Fortune, Darragh O’Toole, Richard Mason, Tristan Heanue, and Tiny James.

Director Walsh, who is also cinematographer on the film, previously brought us some excellent short films, including Bound and Is This It? (Winner of Best Short at 2013 Fingal Film Festival 2013). He is joined behind the camera by operators James Fitzgerald and Ismael Diarra, as well as Leon Henry on Sound Design.

A Day Like Today has been chosen to screen at the IndieCork film festival on October 19th, and hopefully will show at more festivals and events around the country soon.
