The Fingal Film Festival kicks off very soon, with the festival running September 25th – 27th in Movies@Swords. To celebrate we have two weekend tickets to the festival to give away.
The festival officially opens on Friday September 25th at 7.30pm with the premiere screening of Surviving Auschwitz, the true story, based on one man’s fight for survival. The film tells the astonishing, harrowing and incredible moving story of a Tunisian Jewish boxer, Perez, who became the World Flyweight Champion in 1931 and 1932.
Earlier in the day the festival screens a selection of Irish and international shorts, and a screening of Alex Lee’s La Vie Nous Appartient, a drama about two students, Sarah and Philip, who after meeting online develop a tragic plan to end their lives. Day Two features more shorts and screenings of Thorsten Wenning‘s Backpack, and Montenegrin drama The Kids from the Marx and Engels Street. More shorts appear on Day Three, as well as screenings of Jennifer Liao’s feature debut End of Days, Inc, and Canadian Eric Piccoli’s sci-fi action film Project M.
