Tourism Ireland is seeking applications from content producers for high quality international programming featuring the island of Ireland for its newly announced Publicity Programming Fund. This once-off initiative aims to support a limited number of projects as part of Tourism Ireland’s stimulus measures to promote the island of Ireland overseas.
Up to €250,000 per project will be available through a competitive selection process for original and innovative commercially viable projects that have secured international market support which best meet any (or several) the agency’s key objectives of profiling Ireland’s:
- Stunning landscapes
- Rich heritage and living culture
- Food and drink
- Soft adventure
- People
Original factual programming with a destination focus (including documentary, factual entertainment, cultural and specialist factual) are likely to appeal most (and be prioritised), although other proposals are welcome. More detailed information is available in the Tourism Ireland guidelines.
This fund is available for projects that can potentially be completed by December 2021. All productions must be produced in compliance with the Governments’ COVID-19 health and safety guidelines in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, as appropriate, and adhere to government-approved production protocols.
