We know you love film…and we know you love Pixar. Good news for you then as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will soon host the Irish première of Pixar in Concert, a celebration of the enchanting stories, ground-breaking animation and Academy Award-winning music of Pixar’s 14 magical feature films.
Fans of the Toy Story trilogy, Up, Cars, WALL?E, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille, A Bug’s Life and more can enjoy stunning HD clips of favourite scenes and beloved characters on the big screen while the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performs the unforgettable scores live on stage underneath.
Pioneers in the art of animation and filmmaking, Pixar have created some of the most celebrated films of the past 25 years. These films are among the top 50 highest-grossing animated features of all time and between them have won 15 Oscars, including 7 for Best Animated Feature, 7 Golden Globes and 11 Grammy Awards. At Pixar in Concert you can experience the very best visual moments of these films while the memorable scores of Michael Giacchino, Randy Newman, Thomas Newman and Patrick Doyle are brought to life by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Pixar in Concert continues the RTÉ Concert Orchestra’s highly successful series of film screenings with live performance of the orchestral score. Highlights of these screenings to date have included Bugs Bunny on Broadway, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca and Psycho.
