Warner Bros, via Apple, has released a brand new trailer for The Hangover director Todd Phillips’ next big comedy sensation Due Date.
Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, Due Date is a mis-matched road trip comedy in the vein of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, with Downey Jr. playing a neurotic expectant father and Galifianakis an aspiring actor and RDJ’s ride home. Suffice to say the two have very little in common.
This is our third look at the movie and features a bunch of new gags and scenarios. So far so good on the property, with only the poster disappointing to date. All indications is that we have another great comedy on our hands and it seems that both RDJ and Galifianakis can do no wrong these days.
The film is out November 5th.
Synopsis:
Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) is an expectant first-time father whose wife’s due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan—on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter’s last nerve.
