Brendan Fraser in 'The Whale'
Despite the investment of the cast, The Whale needs a director more in tune with the material, and a rewrite to feel less insincere.
Noah is ninety percent bog standard big ticket epic whose brief strange interludes will only confuse and alienate mainstream audiences.
Asking questions of the human condition and reflecting on evolution and religion in parallel Noah is an enjoyable, if at times bizarre, journey with a fitting conclusion. Definitely worth a look.
