New international poster for Real Steel

Walt Disney Pictures Ireland have sent us over a brand new poster for their forthcoming feature Real Steel. The film features Hugh Jackman and some giant robots and if that’s not exciting enough these robots pummel the crap out of one another…for our amusement! For kicks I’ve added the new US poster too.

The film stars Jackman as a washed-up boxer who attempts to reconnect with his estranged son. To do this the pair build and train a fighting robot for the World Robot Boxing championship. The Wrestler this isn’t.

The film is directed by Shawn Levy, who last gave us Date Night and Night at the Museum, so expect a family tone.  The film also stars Anthony Mackie, Hope Davis, Kevin Durand, and Evangeline Lilly.

Real Steel is out October 7th in the US with Ireland and the UK on the 14th.

Synopsis:

Charlie Kenton is a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Thanks to HeyUGuys for the US one.
