Tom Hanks is set to once again step behind the camera some 14 years after his last directorial outing, the 1996 That Thing You Do. The Angels and Demons star is to direct Larry Crowne, a new comedy in which he’ll also star alongside Julia Roberts.
Hanks, who also wrote the script for the movie, will play the title character, a man who is forced to reinvent himself and find a new career as he adjust to the harsh reality of middle age.
Shooting is set to begin in April for a 2011 release, but a distributor has yet to be found.
