The 30 shorts will also be eligible for the Underground Cinema Awards which will take place in Fitzpatricks Castle, Killiney on September 18th. The awards will be presented by Labour Party leader Eamon Gilmore.

A number of well known names feature amongst films to be featured including Fair City’s Tommy O’Neill and Niamh Shaw, Hugh O’Connor, Alan Walsh and Don Baker.

Tickets are priced at €10 and can be purchased online or on the day of each screening at Screen cinema. The screenings begin at 7:45pm. Best of luck to all involved. It’s great to see Irish visions light up the silver screen.
