#Event: Werner Herzog comes to Dublin for International Literature Festival Dublin on May 21st

The International Literature Festival Dublin will welcome filmmaker Werner Herzog to Dublin for the 2017 festival, with a conversation at the National Concert Hall on May 21st.

Born in 1942, Werner Herzog was raised in a Bavarian village before studying German Literature and History in Munich and Pittsburgh. He made his first film aged 19, and since then has produced, written, and directed 70 films including the celebrated Encounters at the End of the World (2007), Grizzly Man (2005), Fitzcarraldo (1982) for which he won Best Director at Cannes Film Festival, and The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (1972).

Irish film fans will not want to miss this rare opportunity to spend an evening with contemporary cinema’s challenging, controversial and eternally fascinating cult hero.
