Irish Film Event: Filmmakers meet at The Snackbox Sessions

Snackbox Films, Ireland’s newest independent film and television production company, is set to present ‘The Snackbox Sessions’, a networking event for filmmakers by filmmakers about the business of filmmaking.

The event will be an evening of conversation and audience led questions with some of the Irish film industry’s leading decision makers. A chance for filmmakers  to learn from their experiences and to share their own. So, whether you’re a film student wanting to learn more about the business, a writer or filmmaker trying to get your film made, a film buff with a love of all things celluloid or an industry pro with a desire to meet new and emerging talent in the Irish film industry, this event is for you.

The key speakers are the event include James Hickey, Chief Executive of The Irish Film Board, Brendan McCaul, former Vice President of Buena Vista Ireland, Audrey Sheils, Head of Distribution at Element Pictures, and Gar O’ Brien, Progammer of The Galway Film Fleadh.

The event will be hosted by Alison Crinion, Communications Director of Lovemovies.ie with all proceeds on the night going to The Cinema Worker’s Benevolent Fund.

The event takes place on Monday 28th of July at The Sugar Club, 8 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2. Doors open at 19:00, with the event running from 19:30 to 21:30. Tickets are €10 and are available online.
