Call Out: Help build the Irish Animation Digital Archive

The team at Pegbar.ie have decided to build a new Irish Animation Digital Archive. This archive will host digital copies of publication and papers that have been written about animation in Ireland.

The project started after the Pegbar guys received a copy of Anamú from Brown Bag films CEO Cathal Gaffney, and thought wouldn’t it be great if all Irish animation publications could be accessed from the one location. That document is available online here

To help fulfill their goal Pegbar has put out an open call to the Irish animation community to collect any publications/papers written about Irish Animation and then send them to archive@pegbar.ie.

Anybody with printed documents and who do not have the capabilities of scanning them, can send them with a return address to: Daniel Spencer, c/o Giant Animation Studios, Unit 4b, Motor City, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 12.

Help them out if you can, and if you can’t just simply help spread the word. This is for our future!
