Dublin’s newest cinema is set to open next month as ODEON unveils their latest cinema in the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas on Friday October 16th. This will be ODEON’s eleventh cinema in the Republic and will create 65 new jobs.
ODEON is one of Europe’s largest cinema operator, with 2212 screens at 238 locations across, including 119 locations in Ireland and the UK. The hiring process for Charlestown has already begun, with ODEON recruiting across the cinema jobs spectrum, from audio and visual technicians to retail teams and cleaners. These will join 375 people who are already employed in their 10 other locations nationwide.
The new nine-screen ODEON in Charlestown will be one of the largest, most innovative and technologically advanced cinemas in Ireland. The new cinema features a giant ISENSE screen with an almost 9 million pixel resolution, and Dolby Atmos technology which uses a Dolby CP850 sound processor for totally immersive and detailed sound. The complex can accommodate up to 1,535 cinemagoers at any one time, with all screens equipped to stream live events, opera, ballet, theatre, and music concerts.
